This vacation rental welcomes up to 1 dog per reservation year-round.

Three TVs (1 55-inch Smart TV in great room with DVD player and basic cable; 1 50-inch flat screen TV with HDMI, approximately 25 local channels and network connection for games etc. in the sunroom. One Smart TV in front bedroom), wired internet access. Cozy cottage with vinyl flooring and ceiling fans throughout. Dining table seats six. All new expanded deck with great ocean view with shower for rinsing off. Covered, paved parking for two vehicles. New laminate plank flooring in the kitchen, den and sunroom in 2020.

Beside the Sea was absolutely amazing! The views from the deck were incredible and it was so nice having a covered family room right on the beach to enjoy the sound of the waves at night or if it was raining outside. The house was SO comfortable, well stocked and perfect for our family of six. Having never been to Oak Island we were unsure about locations... we found the location of the house to be perfect!

We had a great week. To top it off we were able to see a turtle nest hatch on our last evening. Loved that it was ocean front with a few steps to beach. Loved that it was pet friendly and that we could bring our fur babies. Looking forward to another trip to Oak Island again soon.

Very nice oceanfront location with large deck and sunroom. Great views of the ocean, nearby pier, lighthouse. Step down directly onto the beach. Lots of windows to cool the cottage and listen to the ocean. Air conditioning available but not needed. Smaller, older property, but large enough for our family and had everything we needed. Would book again!

Beside the Sea location is perfect, just steps from the ocean! The staff at OIA were super friendly and very responsive. We added an extra day to our stay that they handled very smoothly and efficiently. The house is a little dated but was a perfect fit for my wife, two teenage sons, our lab and I. The sunroom is enclosed, heated and cooled for the rainy times. Deck is plenty spacious but do wish there was a grill available. I would definitely book this house again.
