Turn Day

Your turn day is the day of the week that weekly guests will check out and new guests will check in. For vacation rentals that have a large number of advance summer bookings for next year, the best practice is to keep your current turn day. If your property is new to the market or does not have a large number of advance bookings, considerĀ a Sunday turn day. For vacation rentals in close proximity to the ocean, it's a great chance for increased exposure.

For our woodland vacation rentals and those located in Southport, consider becoming a flex rental. As a flex rental, you'll allow nightly rentals year-round and guests can check in on any day of the week.

Nightly Rentals

Modern travelers, especially outside of prime season, are searching for vacation rentals where they can stay for a long weekend rather than a full week. If you are the kind of property owner that wants to appeal to a wider range of travelers, choose a minimum number of nights that is less than seven. This choice will also allow last-minute bookings (booked within one week of the arrival date) during the prime season for all except flex rentals (these allow nightly reservations booked in advance year-round).

Dog-friendly Properties

Dog-friendly properties are in high demand. Typically, one dog up to 60 pounds is permitted per property. You may choose to allow more than one dog per reservation on your addendum. Note your maximum choice. When guests bring a single dog, a pet fee is charged, $50 of which goes to the property owner. If you choose to allow more than one dog, you will receive an additional $50 per reservation for each dog that stays at your property.
