Located on Oak Island’s west end, this beautiful home offers stunning marsh views and is a leisurely two-minute stroll to the beach, which gives you direct access to the ocean. If you’re seeking a vacation filled with laughter and fun, then come see why this abode is named Happier Than a Byrd with a French Fry! Filled with many gems for all of the family to enjoy, you can’t help but become one with the island and let it take you on its many excursions.

This open concept floorplan is beautifully laid out with nautical décor. The living room is furnished with a full sized couch and a love seat, a beautiful coffee table with books and a big screen television that sits on a television stand. This is perfect for families and friends that enjoy watching their favorite shows together while spending quality time.

The kitchen flows from the living room and is furnished with a table large enough to seat ten and two bar stools at the bar. Look out at the beautiful greenery as you feast on your meal. The grey kitchen cabinetry makes this area comforting and neutral. With all stainless-steel appliances and the basic cooking essentials you need, you can whip up your favorite dish for your loved ones.

To the right of the dining area is the first bedroom, which is furnished with a queen bed and surf décor. There is a television in this room for your leisure. Down the hall is the first bathroom with a beautiful marble vanity. To the right of the bathroom is the second bedroom, also designed beautifully with an abundance of lighting. This room has a twin-over-double bunk bed with a television, Nintendo, and books for your entertainment. Beside the living room is the third bedroom with two queen beds, a television and its very own bathroom.

On the first floor, the bathroom is located in front of the entry door. To the left of the bathroom is the fourth bedroom with a queen bed. This room has its own Keurig, mini-fridge and television. The fifth bedroom has a twin-over-double bunk bed with two bean bags, a television, a coat rack and a plethora of games such as Charades, Pictopia and an Xbox. Children’s books are also provided for you.

Enjoy the firepit located in the back for good times and laughter with the brisk island air. Sit on the covered porch and sip on your favorite cocktail as you watch the sunset. Read your favorite book in solitude and serenity. Whenever you’re up for an ecstatic vacation, Happier Than a Byrd with a French Fry has you covered!

Our family of 6 adults and 6 children had a wonderful time. Our rental was well stocked in the kitchen. The kids loved the beach toys and there were plenty of chairs as well. The big dining room table was great for meals, puzzles and lots of coloring activities. This was our first time renting for a week and we were very pleased.

We stayed at the property named happier than a byrd with a French Fry. This place was one of the best rentals I’ve ever stayed at. It was super clean and has a beautiful view of the marsh. The kitchen was fully stocked and labeled. This place had everything! A wonderful place where many people can get together for some quality time. Besides there being a 10 top table, the fire pit is a wonderful place to gather around and make memories. The shed in the back has everything you would want to enjoy the island. This would include tons of toys to make Sandcastles and bicycles, even a cart that’s super convenient to take things out to the beach with. We couldn’t have been more happy with this place. One might say happier than a bird with a french fry!
