This vacation rental welcomes up to two dogs per reservation year-round.

Four flat screen TVs, four DVD players, internet access. Elevated dune top deck with built in benches, covered oceanfront porch with furniture, two enclosed outside showers with hot and cold water, cold water rinse off from beach, fish cleaning station with sink, picnic table and swing outside. Charming knotty pine beach cottage with hardwood floors, ceiling fan in living room, gas stove, bookcase, washer/dryer downstairs. Kitchen and Bathroom renovated in Fall of 2017. Nightly rentals available. NEW for 2019-2020: Observation Deck overlooking ocean with benches and magnificent views!

A classic beach cabin from 1956! It features real wood paneling and wooden floors. The porch is a perfect spot for relaxing and taking in the ocean sounds and views, while also being shaded and with a perfect amount of ocean breeze. There is also an uncovered, raised "Sunset Perch" for enjoying a more expansive view of the beach. AC worked well, and the WiFi was fast and reliable for any work you may need to take care of while at the beach. There is only one bathroom, but the two private outdoor showers made it easy for multiple people to shower at once. It was the perfect spot for us, and I would definitely stay here again!

This home is in an excellent location. The plantings around the back porch provide lots of privacy, and the upper deck has great views of the ocean. The area under the house has lots of seating and is the perfect breezy place to go if you've had enough of the sun and heat. This is a classic beach cottage that has been very well-maintained.

We prefer the older, original beach cottages at Oak Island - and Seaward's Fun fit that preference. It was small, quaint, and cozy. It was also one of the best furnished and supplied cottages we've rented. The owners have done a great job preserving the original personality of the cottage while adding and upgrading expected amenities, making great use of the small space. The two outside showers with H&C water were preferred by most of our guests; the female shower could benefit from a screen to block possible line of sight to guests on the upper deck at the property next door. We LOVED, LOVED, LOVED being able to have our dogs with us and they enjoyed their beach time and walks around Oak Island. We loved our 22 mile bike ride to the light house and back! The blocks used to prevent the storm door from being blown around were appreciated. The laundry room was great - the washer and dryer were very large and made it easy to quickly do laundry. The only downside really is the one bathroom and no bath tub (but we coped!). The AC was EXCELLENT!

We have stayed at Seawards Fun several times, love that it still has it's original "Carolina cottage" feel and look. We love the large wide deck perfect for sitting out on rainy days, and every evening. It has gates up at all entrances perfect for our dog. Only downside is the small shower makes it hard for a girl to shave legs. Well stocked kitchen.

Small cute ocean getaway. Great fun and perfect size house for a small family. Great access for my 85 yr old mother to have all living areas on one floor while also only a few steps down to the beach.

"Classic beach rental"

It's a classic beach rental, love the knotty pine. Oceanfront is so convenient and ensures a view of the ocean. I'm a big fan of outdoor showers and there are two. Our dogs are welcome and having them with us made the vacation much more active, and more time was spent on the beach. We could sit on the porch and close the gates to contain the dogs. Plenty of room was available to park the cars.
