This vacation rental welcomes up to 2 dogs per reservation year-round.

2 TV's (1 Flat Screen) with basic cable, 2 DVD players, stereo with CD player, wireless internet access, no phone. Ceiling fan, hardwood floors in all bedrooms. Deck with furniture, enclosed outdoor shower with hot and cold water. Easy walk to Ocean Crest Pier and restaurant. Two dogs allowed. Convenient to local restaurants, shops, parks and attractions including the Oak Island Lighthouse. Whether your idea of a vacation is to taking long naps in the island breeze, exploring local landmarks or teeing up for 18 holes at one of the area's playable but challenging golf courses, you will find your island home at At Turtle Cottage! The laundry area is located on the ground level and must be accessed from the exterior of the home. Next to the public beach access point.

Being beach front, with a 3 minute walk to the beach was the best. Throughout the day the deck had various areas of shade. Even though next to public access it was very quiet and private.

I really enjoyed my stay in At Turtle Cottage! It was very cozy and dog-friendly, so I was able to bring my Golden Retriever with me. It has a great view of the beach from the living area, the kitchen, and the deck. I enjoyed eating my meals at the table in the living area that overlooked the beach. It was really nice to be able to park underneath the house and have the covered porch outside of the door...even part of the stairs were covered. This came in handy on the rainy days! I will definitely be back to this house for another vacation!

The house was great and the deck was amazing! I absolutely loved it there! My only complaint was the bathroom shower. It was so small.
